When I was riding my recon I got stuck in some mud about 3 inches over the foot pegs and my bike died. And never did start again untill the next day(by this time it was out of the mud). Can someone please tell me what happened and how I can fix it. I think its the location of the breather hose.

hey hondapride the reson it did that is because of the long tube that runs off your carb got in the water. i had the same problem so what i did is ran it under the plastic all the way up to the gas tank lid there should be enough room in it as long as that tube doesnt hit the water you dont have to worry about it dying again i dont know why honda doesnt like put a recall or like post something about that but oh well thats them japs for ya hehe j/k if it offened anyone

Yeah thats what I was thinking it was, but Is the carb hose hanging down for a reason?
like if I will make it point up towards the gas tank is that going to make anything different.
As in carberator funtion.

Recon owners. if you ride in alot of water check your pull starters from time to time. I have worked on a few of these bikes and some pull starters will not even pull out from all the mud in them.
