Steve .. where's the videos??? I'm dying to see them Wanna hear that TRX too ...

Also, Yamaha is giving up 11cc's of displacement to the Honda and still beats it!!! There is no argueing which motor makes the most power!

Besides, has honda EVER had the fastest quad in a drag race? I have never seen it. Yamaha always has the fastest quad stock vs stock. But you will still see Hondas and yamahas in the winner circle. What it takes to get them there is difference. it's going to take smart modding and a rider who knows what they are doing. If you don't have those two things, even the fastest machine in the world wont get you to the finish line and win

both quads come pretty stiff from the dealer. I softened my suspension 6 clicks and Jason (owner of the trx) softened his quit a bit as well.
Im just trying to figure out how to get the videos on the internet. hopefully i can get it figured out today.
reconranger: im not sure what was wrong with the yfz you were racing. When i was in stock form i was able to beat lots of z400 that were piped no problem. Maybe the guy you were racing didnt know how to race? Also your right about the difference in opinion about the wheelies. Some people like front ends to come up easily and some dont. Look at all the raptor owners. I just dont really like the fact that i have to sit on the gas tank if i want to climb a real steep hill since i mostly ride dunes.

stock airfilter. No lid. Using the gyt-r jet kit. I put in the biggest jet in the kit. I cant remember what size it was.
i just went and looked and i have a 155, 160, and 162 left so it must have been a 165 or 170.

steven-I have NEVER felt that even the Raptor was wheelie happy! All my friends warn me about this when I ride their Raptors, and I say OK, this will be fun, and it just isn't there. Just demonstrates even more, that riding style is a big factor! (I am 190 lbs., which is a pretty common weight, and I never have to sit on the tank!)
The one bike I did feel was wheelie happy was the 400EX, when I went down a tooth on the front sprocket. Thought it would make sense, seeing I went to 22" Holeshot XCT tires. The front end was up in the air all the time. If I would power out of a corner, I would lose steering control. That experiment didn't last long! The EX has a lot of low end torque (which makes it the ultimate tight trail bike in my opinion).
The TRX motor makes a huge amount of low end torque (http://www.xcracing.com/gabe/dyno.htm). I think Honda geared the TRX high for that very reason! They were afraid people would wheelie the thing out from under them. Also, I never felt like the TRX front was light in the turns or it was at all tippy, like Dirt Wheels said it was.
