Default 400 EX valve adjustment

set to TDC of the compression stroke

pull tank and plastic, pull valve caps

insert feeler gauge

loosen locknut and adjust to spec with flat head screwdriver if they are out of spec

tighten locknut, re-check

put it back together and call it a day!

The only thing I wil add is to check the tolerance between the spring and rocker, not rocker and secondary rocker.

Make sure you have not run the engine for 24 hours before the operation. VERY important.

dont stip the cap nuts on the head by trying to use an adjustable wrench....i think the size is 7/8, or whatever that is in metric sizes....oh, and it will probably still be noisy when you adjust the valves....i think its just a noisy engine
