HELLO ALL, YOU ALL ARE GREAT HERE!!! MY PROBLEM IS STILL THERE WITH THE IDLING PROBLEM SO IM TRYING EVERYTHING YOU'LL SUGGESTED AND STILL NO HOPE.SO I HAVE A COUPLE QUESTIONS MAYBE I CAN GET SOME ASSISTANCE WITH
1. I WAS WONDERING WHAT THE IDLE MIXTURE SCREW SHOULD BE SET AT ON MY 450S (2002) SUPERTRAP PIPE AND UPJETED FROM THE PERSON I BOUGHT IT FROM.
2. WHATS THE DEAL WITH THE 2 WIRE PLUG ON THE CARB.(HEATER) AND IS IT NEEDED?
3. DOES ANYONE HAVE A USED REPAIR MANUEL THEY WOULD LIKE TO SELL?
4. WILL A FAULTY CDI BOX CAUSE MY PROB.? OR SOMETHING ELSE IN THE IGNITION?

Ok you got a 450 with a pipe on it
what about the air filter
the mixture screw should be set at like 3 turns out
but if you have a large pilot jet in it you might not have to go that far
does it idle better or worse if you put the choke on
no the CDI box shouldn't cause it to idle strange
but water in the plug from the genorator off of the motor can it's by the right rear wheel by the recoil
the other thing would be a missing part in the carb for the jet needle

The two wire plug, is for the heater, if it bugs ya, unhook it. It wont pull any current until its 35 f., or lower.
The setting on the mixture screw, is something you just have to play around with, until you get it running right....then the seasons and humidity change and gas volility change, and youll need to adjust it again. It isnt something you just set once and never deal with it again.
