What would you change on the 450R????

I have to say that the new 450R is sweet...right now I have a scrammy 500...The only thing I would change on the 450R is have an electric start and have reverse....Reverse being the big one....I do a lot of trail riding and getting off your quad to turn it around gets old after a while...great mx quad though...So anyone else with it had electric start or reverse????????

When i was young i rode a 250sx and i didnt have a problem with kick starting, and i also has a 350x that needed to be kick started. I dont see not having electric start as a problem. The DS i just sold has electric start which was nice but didnt have reverse. As soon as you get someone without reverse you will notice how much you dont actually NEED it, its just a plus. If it had reverse and electric start the price tag on the 450r would be higher, i dont really feel like paying for something that i dont really need. I had my DS for one year and only had to get off of it once to turn it around on a trail, that was just because a tree was in the middle of it.

Two inches longer Wheelbase, HRC kit from the factory and an Electric start, reverse.... Also the same rear tires as the YFZ. They now appear to be the same as the z400 which I don't like. Be virtually unstoppable then.

rear shock or possibly the linkage...not sure whats going on back there but the YFZ feels much better. i would also change the carb. i'm interested to here what the folks jumping the TRX have to say on big jump landings. it ocassionaly bogs. i would also possibly extend the seat padding down the sides to protect your knees from the frame...or extend the plastic to cover it up alittle better.
that and i'd make electic or Kick start optional.
don't bother attacking my response. i think the TRX is an awesome quad as is. i've ridden one and loved every minute of it. but he asked the question...and i answered.

make the motor a 650[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] speeking of that I wonder how long b4 some one puts a xr650 in the chass? the 450 motor looks a bit shorter. might not fit. my gess by mid summer or fall, after the newness wears off.

I would change the motor of the 450! Not saying it isnt a good motor, Im saying making it have the 2 stroke hit like my Yami's! But that just suits my style, I don't care ANYTHING about smooth power delivery!! And what they said!

So in a nutshell, the rear shock linkage is needed from the YFZ, the electric start, and the engine + carb? What are you gonna use from the YFZ too get the 450r seat height down? J/K!!

How about just removing all of the seat foam, and make it the hardest, most uncomfortable seat in the industry, just like the YFZ.
