Default Not intended for passenger riding???? Cargo box/seat

I am in the market for one of those big cargo boxes that have a seat built in. They also make passenger foot pegs. A bar bolts up to your rear rack and goes down the front of the rear fender. I thought this would be great since my wife loves to go riding with me but wants some back support. I like the foot thingy cause it keeps her feet out of my way. The seats always say their only for taking off and sitting on but they look too much like they were made for a passenger. Does anyone have one of these and if so how do you like it????

I've been searching for awhile and I think I have found about the best deal around I think. They have the footpegs and the box not cheap though. The box is about $220 and the foot pegs are $109. atvtires.com is the only website I've been able to find with the footpegs but the seat/boxes are all over.

Several of our friends have those trunks with the seat built into them and quite like them. The manufactures saying it is not intended for a passenger is their disclaimer, like the warning stickers on your ATV. We have a Tamarack Trunk and it only provides a backrest. My wife does not like sitting up higher in the seats like you mentioned, she likes sitting on the seat with me more like you would on a motorcycle. We are lucky and both fit quite comfortably. We also feel sitting at the same height it provides a more stable ride. We also have a better conversation because we are closer. The foot room on our Rubicon is ample for us. If the trail really gets nasty my wife gets off (the ATV).

Check rockymountainstv.com They have some under their name "Tusk".

We have two ATV's and if just the wife and I go, the Rancher sits home.

Have fun and be careful.

Hi, my wife and I ride double all the time. We have a moose back seat with the storage compartments that has a 2" foam pad that she sits on, no back rest. My wife is short so what I did for foot pegs was cut a piece of landscape timber the same width as the inside of my floor boards. I used some plastic tie scraps to fasten to floor boards but they broke. I then order at my hardware store some heavy 24" plastic duct fasteners. $2.98 for 10 of them. I used 2 on each foot peg and cut off the excess. They have been holding good and now I have 6 extra ones that I will use when these wear out. When I had my trailboss I did the same but used bolts instead.I had a short piece of landscape timber laying around that I cut to size. Total cost $2.98 for foot pegs. This will work depending on lenght of floorboards and size of feet. I have a friend of mine that took a strap and cut 2 pieces and bolted one on each fender, these serve as stirrups. The problem with that is each time his wife gets on he has to place her feet in them. I hope that this might help someone who is looking foe ideas on footpegs. lol
