"2001" 300EX backfiring question???
#1
I have a "2001" 300EX that is stock except for a aftermarket BG
"Krome Power ATV Exhaust" Part Number 26-2103. I just bought the quad Saturday. The origional owner told me he did not change anything on the quad when he put the pipe on, EVEN jetting. He purchased the pipe brand new. I noticed the quad runs super but, sometimes it backfires alittle.
Does anyone know if this will harm the engine and/or should I make any changes to correct this backfiring.
Any other 300EX riders out there with this pipe combo?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

my bike kinda back fires a lil if you get in real high rpms the let out real quick but uou aught to jet ur carb to a 128 go w/ an after market air filter and take your air box lid off you will see a world of difference this was you get more gas flow and more air flow
dennis kirk:
jet= 4.90
moose air filter= 17.95 < maybe this will help you out
shipping= 6.00
total= 28.85
