Cams, Cdi or performance parts for Rincon 650?
#1
I just tried the Honda Rincon 650. What a beautiful ride! Very stable just like it had a straight axle but with the IRS comfort. Best ride quality I ever had on a 4wd quad! Only problem, compared to my prairie it didn't have that quick throttle response and power. I would love to buy a Rincon but it needs more power. Are there any performance parts for it like camshaft, high performance Cdi or transmission mods for it?

Try a first stage Quad works jet kit and K&N air filter. this will boost throttle response and give you a few more ponies to boot. If you want a bit more snap, add a FMF Powerline muffler and the first stage is complete. This may be all you need for only a few bucks and a couple of hours in the shop.

While that will help the bottom-end quite a bit, it won't put it in the same league as the prairie. Comparing a Rincon to a Prairie as far as power really isn't fair. You've got a v-twin against a single. If you want to come the closest you can get though, I'd do the previous pipe/jet/filter mod plus some serious engine mods, maybe even increasing displacement. That would cost you a pretty penny though. It's up to you. If you want the power of the prairie, get the prairie.

the rincon is actually faster than it feels but still not as fast as a prairie. it would take no more than a pipe and jet kit to be as fast or faster than a praire. i dont know where you got your info at goblin but it would not take near that much to get the rincon up to a p650
