Other than the "full time 4wd" can any of you veteran atv'rs tell me any pros & cons of the Honda TRX 400FW Foreman. A friend of a friend has one for sale and I just wanted to find a little first hand info on one!! Compare to a Rancher 350 & Foreman 450 ???? Thanks to any info...

 

More like the 450 foreman than a 350 rancher. A real workhorse as reliable as the day is long. However, ANY used atv can be beaten pretty bad. The con might be a not real exciting machine, compared to newer flashier models.

 

There really isn't a whole lot of mechaincal differences between the 400 & 450.

The major ones being........

2WD/4WD select on '02-up 450 models
A slightly larger engine, but pysically share the same parts
Taller shocks
Taller tires
Taller seat
Electronic instaed of mechaincal dash display

There are a few other tidbits, but nothing significant.
