Ok, in a couple months i will be purchasing a 450r, and im 18 and this is really the first thing i will be financing, and i will need a co-signer. My question is, does the co-signer have to have really good credit, or just decent? Thanks
jeff

I can't see that anybody would have to have really good credit to purchase something so inexpensive. It's not like you are buying a house. I think you will be fine, unless this person can't prove income or has a very poor credit report. Good luck.

Words to the wise. Co signer has all the power. If for some reason they do not want you to have the ATV, they can take it away from you. They have all the authority.

Make sure it is a Father, Mother, make sure it is not someone who may fall in love with your quad. I almost lost a Car by having a cosigner when I was 20 years old. Each state is different, but it is something to remember. You are only getting the loan because of the cosigner, make sure the cosigner has your best interest at hand. Good Luck and welcome to the world of credit.

It all depends on your cosigners revolving credit. Thats if you are useing the honda card. Now a bank will use the basic credit line which is better in my mind . Its also easier to get a loan through a bank with no credit than to try to get one of those cards. Just check your options.
