Just for those that didn't know. The Yamaha YFZ won every last magazine shootout. Dirtwheels, 4 wheel Action, ATV Sports, and now ATV Rider. Call them bias?, not!!!! Yamaha just built a better machine for all out performance than Honda.
I am not loyal to any brand, I have a YFZ, KFX, and a 450R on order(I might reconsider this and get another YFZ or an old 250R). But I just wanted to point this out!!!!! For 2004 Yamaha YFZ is the ultimate performance ATV.

Cause, I wanted to. It's more of a guy thing than an age, I think everyone wants to think they have the best. It's just the competitive nature of males, Mr. ATC. It's Yamaha this year, next year, it may be Suzuki, who knows. This is good for our sport, competition breeds better products. Think about the automotive industry and what competition has done there. Ford even went so far as to saying "never rest".
The purpose of my post was to make everyone aware of a fact that they may not have known, in there purchase decison. I suggest you read into a post before making assanine comments.

Don't get to far ahead of yourself. It's not like the YFZ killed the TRX. Small changes to the TRX (i.e 13 tooth sproket) will make a huge difference. And all those magazines couldn't test or evaluate relability, which is a major factor. Those YFZ's are dropping like flies. I'm willing to take the TRX over the YFZ for this reason alone.

Reliability??.............Unless the frame breaks in half in the first hour of competition, it doesn't matter to most hard core racers, because they know that when the upgrading begins, the reliability factor is out the window anyway.
My ride, as it comes from the crate, is the biggest POS ever mass produced for racing purposes in my opinion, but I liked the quad for a few other reasons and I knew that fixing the flaws that Cannondale missed wouldn't be a task that couldn't be addressed.

Who are those magazine guys??? A bunch of So. Calif. motocross dudes! Of course they are going to pick the bike that is the better MX'r. Trouble is, 99% of the bikes out there will never see an MX track.
If the TRX had won the shootout, all the Yamaha owners would be in here saying what a bunch of So. Calif. motocross **** those magazine dudes are! But suddenly, their word is gospel, when they are saying what they want to hear!
