450R Dyno with and without HRC kit?

You can paper race all you want. As far as I'm concerned it's awesome. I really don't care that the YFZ is faster. From all I've heard, the difference is minimal, and with mods, either one could be better than the other.
I'll be the first to admit that Honda detuned the motor a bit. But Honda is renowned for their quality and longevity, and I would bet a stock Honda engine will outlast a stock Yamaha engine by at least 2x. For someone like me that isn't a racer, that means a lot.
For me, my choice was made for me by the "comfort level" of the quad. The YFZ is a race quad, and there is basically nothing about it that contributes to a easy ride. It's all or nothing, and hard as a rock. If you are ONLY racing, get the YFZ, but if you want to just have a really great quad that is very competitive and fun and easy to ride, get the TRX.
I just went for my first ride today, and it was plush--while at the same time, I wasn't able to bottom the suspension out either. The TRX is light, manuverable, and just plain fun to ride, regardless of the terrain.

Still haven't come up against one at the Dunes. Hope to see one this weekend. I'm sure if it performs well there will be one in camp in someone's trailer soon. Someone always want to be different and have the latest thing.

Rodsquad- They say the rain is coming our direction. If and when it does Crafty and i are going to drive down and give your 450r a test ride. We are just looking for a excuse to get out of work for a day or 2. I am hoping monday is a rain day.
PS- That kitten got into my wife's jewelry box and wreked havoc on her pearls. We went to a marti gras party a few weeks back and when we got home we gave that kitten the beads. I guess he got confused. I asked for some of my beads back after seeing the goods at the party

Ryan, I believe you are exactly right. Honda is known for reliability. Both quads are nice and both can be very competitive. I feel that the Honda is a more all around quad from pleasure to the track. You didn't see Honda come out with the big 660 and then go back to the 450.... They know what they are doing......
