Default 450R Dyno with and without HRC kit?

Hey KGB....My kickstart was loose and my heat shield bold backed out. I am now going over the whole quad. Seems when you pay that much little things like this wouldn't happen..

I just got my 450R!

The heat shield bolts were loose, but I got the pipe nice and hot and torqued them down, now they won't budge for anything. I think the trick is the heat. Once the pipe cools back down, the nut shrinks down on the bolt.

So far the kicker is tight, but I'll keep an eye on it. I'll go over all the bolts when I do my first oil change. Probably this weekend, if the weather is good enough to ride.

I already have a 13t sprocket for it, but I'm going to ride it a bit before I put it on. I think for most of the riding I do, it will be better than the stock 14t. I'll keep whichever one I'm not using in my gear bag though, so that I can switch it on the fly if I want to.

Where did you purchase your gear from? Do you have the HRC kit?

Your right Quadman, but those are little things that are not worth worring about. I removed the heatshield anyway, and took off the kicker to polish it right off the bat, so it never caused me any problems. Use locktite and they are fine.
Ken...... Head porting how much??????

I got the sprocket from rockymountainatv.com for a 2004 CRF450. It was about $7 I think.

No HRC kit yet. I don't think I'm going to need it for a while. I'm really happy with the power that the stock unit has, and I haven't even opened her up yet.

I purchased mine with the HRC kit already installed. It runs really strong. I really think I want to try the gear like you have.

Nice ride!

Your right, all dynos are different. Kenz dyno is pretty conservative, and realistic.

Has anyone raced a new Yamaha stock for stock?

I raced many in many forms I have beat most and only lost to one. And I was outweighed up a sand hill, a big hill. I was never stock.
If you were talkign to me about the cut fenders, yes I cut them, it seemed like something was missign with them removed.
Thanks again Roost, tell Ken I want a port job!
