lift kit 450 es 03

Default lift kit 450 es 03

i was thinking of putting a lift kit in my quad about 1 1/2 inch lift am hearing problems with rear shaft twisting off and premature parts wearing out anybody had these problems with the 03 450 foreman also using 26 inch mudlites

Do you like your ITP Mud Lites, because I am gettin four 27 inch ITP Mud Lites for my Foreman S 450.

If you are putting 26" lites on your foreman ya don't need a lift kit. They'll fit fine and not rub without any lift at all. dg

26 and 27s do not require a lift kit.

28s will require a lift kit and depending on the ACTUAL tire width, you may also need wheel spacers.

The 450 doesn't take to kindly to lift kits. The rear drive shaft you mentioned is the problem. When put in a severe strain, with the suspension unloaded, it has been known to break the shaft. I see it happen to many of them, and some of these are operated for hunting purposes only and not "thrashing" around.

I just put on a set of 27" mud lites on my 99 grizzly, didnt need a lift in it, Havent ran it much yet but so far they seem like a great tire. The only thing is that I can feel the power that I lost with jumping up to this size.
