LOOSE bolts on 450R!
#1
Just stripping the 450R to the frame. The foot peg bolts were not very tight. They came off very easily. I am putting Pro-pegs on. If I were leaving them on I would loctite them. The allen head bolts that hold the rear master cylinder on are made of a soft metal. I almost stripped one taking it off. Be sure your allen head wrench is fairly new. There was a decent ammount of grease on the swingarm pivot bolt. Getting ready for the TT nationals. The motor is getting shipped out to Curtis Sparks today. The stock silencer ways a ton. Just keeping everyone up to date on the little things!

I havent had that prob W/ my DS but then again almost all the bolts are toqued to 900lbs.

Interesting, the stock pipe weighs a lot eh....guess that makes sense since the thing is about as big as my trash can.
As for the bolts, yeah, thusfar, only the heat shield bolts have come off on mine. KGB said the kickstarter bolts were loose on his. I'm going to check these and the footpeg bolts. I had at least 10 or so bolts vibrate off of my new 400EX. Very annoying.
Thx for headsup.
