why is beating a piped banshee considered an accomplishment?

 

because the banshee is the fastest thing ever built, its far superior to any honda. lol

 

i was beat by a very strong 430ex last time i went out. ive beaten 686's, 350/250r's and a million and one 440's and modded banshees. that proves to me it can be done, i just wouldnt want to waste my time doing it.

 

So your telling me that your Kenz bikes will beat down a Sparks 690 or Craycraft 686?

Because I'm thinking the only 686's they could actually beat are the ones pieced together at home by Joe Nobody. Not saying that piecing together a 686 doesn't run incredible, but they don't have the same power increase as the Sparks or Craycraft bikes.

And I get that from the fact that Raptor03's mild 686 was beating speeddmn. Now that Raptor03(TheSickOne) is upgrading carb's, rod, and 14:1 piston...how will the 440 even keep up?

 

there are plenty of poorly tuned bikes running around.

 

Frist yes my 440 has beat sparks 690's and many 686 by various builders and the main reasons for threads like this in the honda forum is to keep the faith!!! most think the 400ex is outdated but that just ain't true. it has more posability's than most anything out there with the exception of the banshee.And Gary my frist version was only 690 dollars and was still very fast!!!! And lasted 2 1/2 seasons on alcahol and if she got beat by any raptor it was because i missed a gear[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] And whats amazing is sparks makes 465's that at sand mt put 10 bikes on mine[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

 

speaking of which didnt the sparks 465 at 4stroke wars put a stomping to mostly all other 4strokes???

 

doesnt the black sparks raptor beat the 465 ex

 

speeddmn-It sounds like you have a very well tuned quad and the tuning and tweaking are what can make a big difference but i am curious if you are considerably lighter than the average rider because that is a major factor to take into account.Last year at our local comp hill i let another forum member who was almost 100 lbs lighter than me race against some very fast banshees and 250rs on my (mildly built but well tuned)686 raptor and he was winning against anyone who lined up with him.I am not trying to take away from the fact that your quad is fast but the weight factor plays a huge role in a drag race.

 

What you all so not want to hear is that what makes the diff is the tuning. It took me months to tune the 493 (which is also a dune bike) I also weigh 225 .


I know that speeds and az bike are built well but they are also setup well tires gears etc ....

btw az I ran into the sparks 465 at fsw and I was trading wins with them so watch out !!!!
