I LOVE IT!

I've only ridden it around the neiborhood a couple laps, never getting over about a half throttle, I doubt I ever got in it's powerband. Just from my limited experience I can say, this thing flys!

I will concur with everyone else...the gearing is too high for slow, technical riding. It has a tall powerband, and VERY light flywheel mass. I killed it several times trying to take off. Once you get the hang of it though, and give it a little more gas than you are used to, it doesn't have any problems. It doesn't like to go slow though...you can really feel it lugging below about 2500 rpms (I'm guessing) which is VERY different than my Warrior...you can lug that thing almost to the bottom before you start feeling the strokes. I already have a 13t sprocket for it, but I'm going to wait until I've ridden it for a while to put it on...that way I'll appreciate it more!

Kicking the thing over really impressed me too. The forward kick is a little wierd, being used to dirtbikes, but not uncomfortable. It kicks about like a CR250...maybe easier. I acually kicked it over sitting down, wearing flip-flops, and it started on the first kick! All you have to do, is push the kicker to TDC, then bring it back up, and give it a full kick. EASY. Best of all, no batteries to leak or go dead. No starter bendix's or bearings to go out. I'm sold.

This thing is light too. Everyone knows the specs, but let me tell you, it's light. I can pick up either end with one hand. I tried this on my Warrior which is only 50 lbs heavier, and almost popped a vein. To me, the weight ballance feels like almost a perfect 50/50 split.

Check out my gallery. I didn't get home 'till after dark, but took some pix anyway. I'll have to get some more tomorrow when it's light out. I tried to put pix in there that no one else has...just to pique your interest a little!

I am looking for advice on what 440 kit to put in my 400ex.also what other mods I should do?
How much more power did your kit give you?How much top end speed did you gain? Any idea how it compares to the new 450r? THANKS EX KICKS AZZ
