Default 04 Rancher 4x4 Break in tips

Just took delivery of my 04 Rancher 4x4MT. Any suggestions for brake in? THis is my 1st 4x4. I've been told the normal 20 hour oil change. Not to go full throttle but don't baby it because the valves won't seat properly. I want to make this one lasts, not as if I've ever had a problem before with my break ins on previos machines, but they were all 2wd. That thing is allot heavier than my 400ex the Ford Ranger didn't like it when they put it in the back of the truck, almost a buck fifty heavier than the 400. for years I've been loading the 400 and recon in without ramps but I'm definitly getting ramps for this beast, way too heavy for one person to get on and off of the truck without ramps.

http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

There are two different philosophies on break-in. One is the ride it hard and seat the rings method and the other is the baby it philosophy. I have settled on combination. I do a lot of VERY steep hill climbs (both uphill and downhill) to load the engine, but at the same time I avoid any real high rpm stuff.

Do NOT wait until 20 hrs. to change the oil and filter! I do mine at 2 hrs. and again at 10 and 20 hrs. You will need a valve adjustment at 20 hrs., as I recall. I also would not wait the 2 yrs. they recommend before changing the differential oil.

Thats it for tips. i got my 1st ride in Sunday about 8 miles. Its going to take some getting use to compared to the 400. I like it that is actually rides right along all my friends Suzuki 500's and it sticks to the ground better than my 400 did.
