I saw the wildest ride today. It was a monster quad based on the 94 300ex, this guy said he had some free time on his hands. It had a custom rear axle( just like the stock one just wider) and it had special adapters to mount the truck rims on to the axle. The plastic was lifted up by using square stock covered with diamond plate to make a box to sit on. All the suspension was chromed and it had what looked like long travel shocks with remote resevoir's. The motor was stock except for a pipe and he said a rev limiter( I would not think that would help power) and a monster rear sprocket gear. It was in Dirt Wheels he said, they had done a half page on it. I went and got my camera but he had gone home by the time I got back and I know nobody is going to believe me with out it but I was not drunk and I saw what I saw. Has anybody seen this quad in the magazines? It would of been from Palmer, Alaska. AlaskaBoy.

Is it blue with red flames? There is one in the march edition of DW on page 54...I seen one a year to two ago in DW that started out as a joke in the letters part.. Then a couple of issues later there was a write up one the same guy that he really mounted the tires on a 300ex I think Not sure its been a while I believe it was a red 300...

It is red(aftermarket plastic) with the box under painted flat black and every thing else is chromed. This thing realy hauls, he said he had it up to 45 on the main road and I believe him as that thing flew across the parking lot and then he started to doing 360's. We were waiting for it to flip from being up so high. He said he had some free time, he must of had alot of free time to do all that. AlaskaBoy.

Yamaha660, it has boggers in the rear but TSLs up front and the rear wheels are about 8 to 10 inches wider then the front ones. He lives not far from the trail head and I should be able to get photos one of these days. I normaly carry a camera in my gear but I had not planned on wanting photos, stupid just stupid, I saw alot of great photo ops while rideing. My wife was a few miles away at her brothers house and I drove as fast as I could and grabbed her digital as I wanted that picture. AlaskaBoy.
