What you do in those circumstances is tell them that your YFZ at home puts out 200 HP stock! LOL that'll get them going.

 

I swear my 18 year old friend is a salesman or a compulsive liar, when I first saw his raptor, He told me it went 120 mph. And I read dirt wheels and ATV Sport and all that stuff to know that they did not. Some people are just dumber than expected i guess. All I can say to those crazy numbers is lay off the wacky tabacki.

 

It's not the wacky tabacki. When you go 40 on a quad, it feels much quicker than when your going 40 in a car. Let's just say that going 40 on a quad feels like going 70 in a car. That's how people do it. A guy I know says his Raptor (stock) can go 150Km/H. I didn't argue with him because I know there's no point. Anyways...

 

i called my local dealer (the same one that supposedly fixed my carb, but missed the fact that there was a bolt missing that holds in in place. I asked them how much the new 450R was and i mentioned that i wouldn't be buying for a couple of months. the guy told me that in a couple of months there would be a sale, $500 off the MSRP, which he said would lower it to $6499. I knew the guy was full of crap and called him on it, he tried to get me to go down to the dealership so we could talk in person. lol, that wasn't gonna happen. I think the only people i trust ne more r my parts dealers, and the mechanics that work there.

 

ya some dealerships are so stupid its funny, i like the local bomb one, they're pretty good, unlike the one honda/kawasaki one is, told me my ds is way to big,and they're not that fast, and that i should get rid of it and buy a 400ex, lol i was like nahh i like speed, and 12" of suspension,

 

What is it with dealerships these days?? If I ever found a dealer in my life that was 100% honest I would definetely throw the word out to everybody.
I mean if someone had a dealership and it was known for their honesty, their business would sky rocket.

the way i figure it, if they let parts dealers order quads too, then we wouldn't have to deal with the whole lying thing. i have yet to have a problem with any parts dealer, even the guys at the dealership. but when it comes to buying the actual machine, they spin stories all day long.
