do any of you guys/girls know how bad the trx really sucks. i have rode both trx and yfz there are no comparisons exept the trx is cheaper as tested at searcy yamaha/honda the trx is kick start still weighs the same, its slower and first gear absolutly blows. or maybe the one i rode was just a bunk machine any way thanks for you time

First off,the Yamaha ha ha is only a tenth quicker in a drag race. The TRX has more bottom end and a better seat for extended riding as well as Honda's reputation for rock solid reliability. So for the 99% of us who use our Quads for other than profesional racing,I'll stick with the Honda..........

Easy killer. A tenth is a lot of time to make up. I have raced sand drags and asphalt drags enough times to know that. I dont know if the R has more bottom end, but I know that it needs it with that sky high first gear. And get off the seat issue. For 75 bucks an upholstery shop will add an inch of foam to the yfz seat and make it a dream to sit on. Reliability is nice, but since the yfz hasnt had a single widespread manufacturing problem and its been out longer than the honda, then I would say that the yfz is just as reliable, even with electric start and a dohc engine. I like the trx and I think its a nice bike. But if I were going to lay down money, I'd be a fool to pass on the yfz. Enter the rebuttal...
