300ex top end + 350x bottom =?

yo,
I might buy this 330ex from this guy i know i acouple of months.. He has a full TC 330 top end. There is nothing more u cna do to the top.. But the bike will just barely stay with a stock 400. So i am intrested in putting the 330 top end with a 350 bottom end. If i stroke the 350x over 6mm? i think it should be around 375cc and be reliable since the 330 is like a rock?
So what do u think? It would be nice having a kick start and 6 gears.

Sounds good about the 330 kit. But i have geard that the 350x uses a different cam setup and the 300ex top end will not work on a 350x lower. I know there is an up grade where they remove your reverse gear and put in a 6th gear in 250x and 300ex bikes but they wanted around $600 for this upgrade..

I remember a while back about reading how u can't put a 350x top end on a 300ex bottom but i never heard of anyone doing it the oposite way. But if it would work it be sweet since i would have 6 gears and kick start wit a build cylinder. There is over 1500 in the cylinder so i can't see just puttin a whole 350x engine in it. I do plan to look further into this conversion.
Do u think it would be possible to stroke the crank over like 6mm or something to get a higher displacement and more power? It is ont he stock stroke right now. I am jsut considered bout the piston not having a enough room to go up with the longer stroke.. Byt eh way it has a 10.25/1 piston now.

What a same that would of been really sweet. Loosing Electric start and gettin 6th gear and a kick starter!
Aron do u think i would have room to stroke the crank without extensive top end work?

OMG JUST GOTTA BRAINSTORM!!! how about puttin the 330 top end on a 250 bottom so i can save weight wit no battery and have a kick start. Would i have room to stroke this?

A friend of mine is the service manager for a local Honda shop, and last year he built a 300EX lower end with a 350X top end. It can be done, but there is some extensive modifications that have to be done to the head of a 30EX to make it work with a 350X cylinder. As far as the 300EX cylinder on a 350X bottom end goes, that just doesn't make any sense to me? If you use a stock 350X motor it will be faster than the 330, plus if you ever have to rebuild that cylinder you will have to resleeve it. Also, just because the 350X has 6 gears doesn't mean it has more top end. Honda has the gear ratios of the 350X extremely close, and it's not the top end monster you might think it would be.
