Default ATC200 S/SX/X

I want to buy a parts catalog from Helm and can not seem to find the right manual. I am looking for the catalog for 1986 Honda ATC200SX. Helm list catalogs for the ATC 200S and the ATC200X but not the ATC200SX; does anyone know what the difference between these catalogs are? Should I Buy the "S", "X", or what? Thank you for your help.

i think that in 86' the sx was a 250...maybe this is why you werent able to find it...if its still intact, look on the front fork to see model year and designation. the manual for the 200s, 200x are all different...however, the manual for the 250es may be the same.....hey man, check out the atc forum...theres alot of die hard knowledgeable people in there....someone in there could probly tell you for sure.

Bob,

Odyssey is right.

The SX three wheelers were 250cc.
Your's [if a 250SX] should be shaft drive and have a kick starter as a backup for the electric starter. That's the easiest way to tell.

Hey, thanks for the info! I am sure it is a 200SX, says so right on the seat. Plus, I have orderd part for it in the past. The sticker on the forks says it is manufactured in 85' but lists as a 86'. I will check those guys out in the ATC forum and double check the info on the forks.

Thanks again,

Bob

Thanks for the reply. This bike does have a chain. The bike actually belongs to a buddie of mine. He is not to comfortable working on it himself. So, i am always working on it. I do have a owners manual that is for the 86' ATC200SX, they do exist. I will call Helm in the morning.

Thanks.

I can assure you, there is no such thing as a ATC 200SX three wheeler.

In 1986 there was a 200S [rope start/auto clutch] and a 200X [kick start/manual clutch]

Get me the VIN number off from the steering head and we will know which.

You might have a point. First of all, the bike is not here at the moment. I do know that it is chain driven and has only a kick start. I am looking at the Clymer manual and it reads ATC200X, you may be right. I thought I was sure the seat read 200SX. I will double check everything. Thanks again.
