He probally was wondering what jet you wanted, meaning he would send it to you for you to install.

a 165 is too big if the only mod is a pipe/filter setup on a 400ex. you will be weak in the upper gears compared to what you should be unless you go down to a 152-155.

Try this: null

Yes, check your plug at every oil change, and always carry a spare with you.

yep, just buy the individual keihin jets from your local dealer. you don't even have to take the carb off the change the mainjet. all you do is go to the left side of the bike. on the bottom of the carb you will see a 17mm nut. first off, turn your gas off. then unskrew the nut. right inside there is the mainjet. it will be a 6mm. unskrew it and put the new one back in. don't tighten the mainjet too much. if a whole assembly comes out with the mainjet, it will probably be easiest to take the whole carb off to put it back in. this assembly needs to be tightened down a certain amount for best performance if it came out. if that happens, let me know and i will give you instructions on how to install it. it is easy to do though. good luck

So your saying if the whole assembly comes out with the mainjet, he can't just screw it back in?
I'm just trying to prepare myself for when my Pro Circuit comes in, anyday now..

you can skrew it back in but it would be tough without taking the bowl off. the whole assembly i am taking about is the needle jet holder. the needle jet holder skrews into the carb while a nut holds it in place. however, if you skrew the needle jet holder in all the way, your actually raising your mainjet. this will hurt the power. i don't know if the mainjet needs to be lower to catch all the fuel or what. however, it will hurt performance. i will tighten the nut down so that i can see 3 to 4 threads on the needle jet holder when the nut is tightened.
