I'm not bashing just asking why would you put a fresh sleeve in and bore it to a 426? the only way I would go to a 426 is in a last ditch effort to save an old cylinder. with the 426 you end up with really thin walls and no room to overbore. what I'm saying is if you put a new sleeve in and bore it to a 426 on your next rebuild you would have to put a new sleeve in again. seems like a waste for so little power gains.

the stock sleeve can be bored up to a 426 (88mm). after that, you need a new sleeve. however, many people recommend getting a new sleeve when running the 426 because the stock one does get thin with the boring. you can get sleeves that fit 426's to 440's. i would contact C&D racing. the # is 308-696-7805.
