Have a couple of questions
Picked up a 350r project
it would not run so I cleaned the carb and set the unloader so it didnt have so much compression
Finally started and now I am getting a lot of smoke and blow back through the carb. would this all be top end? total rebuild?

 

Check the valve adjustment first. Could also be very lean, and it would spit out the carb on tip in. Check for dried out intake rubber , thatll cause a vacumn leak.

 

i found the problem the cam was wiped and so are the rockers do you know how to remove the rocker arms?

 

Youre best bet, is to get a service manual, seems to me the head needs to come off. Try the local library, look in the 629.2 area.

 

I got the head off the timing chain removed I am just concerned on removing the caps at the ends of the rocker arm pins it appears like they are for a sloted screw driver, I am not sure if they are reverse thread or not
