Rancher 2x4 in 'da mud
#14
Mine are 27x10x12 Maxxis Mud Bugs for the front and 27x12x12 Maxxis Mud Bugs for the rear. I have talked to the guys at High Lifter many times about my 26 or 27 debate. Jeff assured me that I would have plenty of power to turn them. I guess I will find out this weekend. For me and it was a toss up between the 589s and the Bugs. The Bugs are just a few pounds lighter, but the 589s look a little more aggressive and cool.

i'm not sure how the Kodiak compares to the Big Bear but there where 4 brand new Big Bear quads and an older Foreman. The Rancher with those tires did better than any of those five. The Yama's had stock tires and foreman had swampers I think. We all got stuck but there was an obvious advantage to mine compared to theirs dispite the fact that I am 2x4.
Now I'll take any rider credit that's due...But the fact is I've never been mudding before.

Im glad to hear that others are becoming addicted to Fun Wheeler Park as I have... Glad to hear you got some mud in your blood.
Most of our crew is 4x4's with 26" Vamps and above.. (I ride on 27 Tri-Claw and Bi-Claws) We have some on Mud Runners, one 2x4 thats got Swampers... 2x4's ca do good if you have some "BITING" tires ont eh rear and keep moving in the tough stuff.. I hope ya'll went thru Mocassin Slough a few times... Some of the holes in there will get ya if you aren't careful..
Its not as much fun as it was a month ago though... Most of the really good stuff is dried up....
Holler next time ya'll r going out there...
