Ive looked at the same thing for my rubicon. I am always the first to need to get gas when we ride. I freaking think my wifes RECON has a bigger gas tank than I do.

The only item ive been half interested in is a flat gas can that lays on the rack. it is only about 4 or 5 inches tall and the size of the back rack. Id say a cooler would still sit on top of it ok. or even camping gear. I hope it dont leak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know in dirtwheel issues of the past, like on the rincon and the 450 r winning or racing the baha, they always talk about bigger gas tanks added. GuesS i could try to find the company that did theres.

I think sometimes my rubicon only gets about 20 mpg while the kodiaks I ride with get darn near 35 or 40! sorry not much help, other than you not alone in your thinking

You could give R&S Fuel Tanks a call. Their number is (801) 571-8487. Their product is a gas tank that is mounted in the back end of your atv, and when you run out of gas you just switch it to the other tank. So basically you now have 2 gas tanks instead of one. Dirtwheels awhile back did an article on this tank and they had it installed on a foreman. I think you can specify what size tank you want.

Hmmm .. I don't like the idea of sacrifying one of my rack for a Gas tank !! .. And I doubt that the gas tank would be solid on the
rack .. ? ..

I was thinking about putting a gas tank somewhere else than the rack, but I could not find any place that one could fit ..

Maybe over the front differential, in this region, but I suppose it would be useless for the amount it will provide! ..
hmm ...

That's the only problem that is left on my foreman . .

anyways, Thanks for your help ! I'll search on the net about Racks Gas tank, but, not sure I would like this . ..

I would just get one of those fuel packs that holds about 3-4 gallons. There are only a couple inches wide and are about the size of a rear rack. To have easy access to the fuel cell and still have a rear rack that you do not have to take everything off the get the fuel cell off, you can do the following. They also have a water container that is the same size. Both of these are handy, but a little on the spendy side.

make four brackets that will mount on your existing rack, make them about 1/2 taller than the fuel cell. Then use a piece of plywood or metal to make a plain ol' flat rack to mount to the brackets. This will allow you to mount the fuel pack to the rack for easy removal, and you still have a rack to carry other stuff. If you know somebody that can weld, that is even better. Then you can weld a cross member to each bracket for more sturdiness.
