How much did it set you back for the cost of installation at your dealer/shop? I mean the labor fee alone, not the cost of the unlocker itself added to that.

 

i called a dealer today and they said about $75!

 

Well, the dealer is going to charge you the one hour it calls for regarding front drive shaft replacement plus about another 15 minutes for the control cable and **** mounting.

So depending on the shop's labor rate.......which varies all across the country, you can expect to pay from $75 (like metnioned here already) up to $105.

If you get any quotes for more than the $105, ask for a specific break down of time regarding the install because there are some shops that multipy ALL labor rates by 1.5 to try and break even on jobs that take longer than it should have. It's not neccessarily fair, but it does happen every day and there isn't anything that can be done about it either.........so do your homework before hand.

 

1 to 2 hrs. labor. A very experienced installer could probably do it in ~1 hr.
