So my parents say if I can get half the money I can get any atv I want. So with that in mind and the fact that i have a lot of driving experiance. (Also I have riden a blaster so i know how to shift on a clutch.) What bike would you guys reconmend? (sp?)

the main question is do you need the quad to have reverse???? if so the 300ex is great. its kind of wierd because you are the exact same size as me and in the exact same situation as i was in my parents would pay half of any quad for me. and i chose the 300ex and have had no problems with it so far.

I am also ther same age and weight. if i had the money i would have bought a 400ex but the 300ex was the second step down. it was alos a very big step for me to go from a old trx 250 to a 300ex sport. The 300ex has been great put on 150 miles on this last weekend and had 0 problems. so i am now stuck with hondas for the rest of my life.

Go for the 400EX. Brand new in AK is the original price, I think $5,799. Look around for a good used one, and then put some money into it. I might know someone who lives in Wasilla that might sell his 2001 400EX.
