Hey guys
My buddy has a 300ex, and it seems to be cutting out REALLY bad
It has a bran new CDI, and spark plug and everything seems to test fine,
Do you have any idea what it could be??
i was thinking maby the Stator,??
Its almost liek it is hitting the Rev limiter, But at mid range, and it is really bad in Revirse

Have you put smaller tires on the 300ex? the rev limit is really low on them, if you do anything to the airbox, tires,or exhaust, and it revs better, it hits the limit even faster. with just 20" tires on the back,my son's was slower, hit the limit all the time without revving it. Without putting a new rev limit cdi on, the best thing to do is put a 14 tooth front sprocket on,puts it back to the regular power band, and no more rev limit problems.

the Fule and jetting are fine, It just seems to Run Really bad at near midrange
I will ask him tonight if he has put smaller tires on it?? But Iam pretty sure he hasent!!
Have you guys heard of any other things that could cause this??
