Default 300 EX cutting out in water?? HELP!!!!

I had the Problem on my bayou and I just got a new cap, and if there are cracks, take black tape and wrap the places really good a feww inches in front of the cracks and behind them, then take a lighter and heat the black tape up and smooth it out the best you can. The CDI box is usually wrapped in a blag baggy type thing. Not quite sure what the CDI box does but I think it is just like a distributor on a vehicle, it gives the spark plug spark! So whatever you do get back to me, I love to help.

There's a product you can get called "Wire Dry" there are others too that do the same. Basically coats all your electrical connections in a fine silicone spray which, when dry, provides a waterproof seal.
