how hard would it be to take a cr500 motor from a dirtbike and put it in my 400ex frame?if anyone has done this i would appreciate any advice.i want a complete rund down of all the work that has to be done.i have already found the motor i want,and after i buy the motor i will have about 1600 dollars left to buy parts.i have someone to take off the old motor mounts and weld the new ones on pretty cheap but he does really good work but i know him so i get a discount.and as far as swaping the motors out i can do that my self.what i want is a list of all the parts i will need.if anybody who knows what they are talking about could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated.thanks.

 

Never done the mod myself but from what guys tell me it is a. hard to do. b. the vibration the bike motor puts out will wear you out real fast. Dirtbikes have some kinda dampner or something quads don't. I thought about doing this a few years back and was told not to because it just wasn't worth the trouble.
