Foreman MODs
#1
Hey yall, my brother and I have been looking at all kinds of upgrades for our foremans and we need some advice.
1) We're gonna go 26 inch 589 M/S, Mudlites, or Outlaws
2) can a stock foreman spin these when they are clogged with mud?(adding like 20 pounds
3) Does the High Lifter Power Kit (K&N filter, perf. exhaust, dino jet kit) void Honda warranty?
4) does the performance kit cause mechanical problems later on?
5) would these tires break axles or suspension?
6) honestly... can tires actually be "rough" riding? I mean.. it's an offroad machine, how they they ride nice? my stock ones ride "bad" compared to my truck tires
7) how much horsepower does a foreman have?
8) does performance kit increase or decrease gas mileage?
9) MOST IMPORTANT: do any of you with any set of those tires live in the Plano, Tx area? If so, I'd love to drive on them and see how they ride.
OK sorry about the long post, but I'd appreciate it if you guys could answer any of those you have experience with or have an opinion about. Thanks everybody!

OK, if you're concerned about rough riding, I'd go with Mudlites. Though the 589s aren't a bad ride on hardpack either, the Mudlites will ride the smoothest out of all the choices you gave. I've never ridden Outlaws. No, a Foreman 450 should not have any problems turning these when in the slop. Any engine work or performance upgrades are more likely to decrease gas mileage than increase it and the Highlifter kit should be no exception, but I don't think the gas mileage decrease with that setup will be even noticeable. I'm not sure if it will void the warranty, but I wouldn't think so. If you plan to do some serious mudding, you may want to order the clutch kit and gearless locker from Highlifter while you're at it.
