What kind of bike do you have and what mods did you put on? What does the manufacturer reccommend?

Air screw = Idle-1/2 throttle
Pilot Jet = Idle-1/2 throttle
Needle Clip = 1/4-1/2 throttle
Needle Taper = 1/4-full throttle
Main Jet = 1/4-full throttle

While we're on the subject, I have a question. If you get the model specific jet kit and match their suggestions for your sea level and mods, are you going to have the jetting right or is it going to take self-adjustment no matter what?

to be honest red, i've never used a jet kit in my life. The are like $30. I just buy the jet, which is $2.99. Now, find the right jet size for your exaust, air intake (air box) and sea level. Put that little 3 dollar jet in and u'll boost ur HP.

EVERY bike is diffrent. They will always need to be jetted a little diffrent at least. That why you cant really go by what the suggestions are, but that can give you an idea where the jetting should be around.

Theres gonna be some adjusting and experimenting even with a kit.
Heres a good article on jetting, jetting,
I usually go by drivability symptoms, of whether to go richer or leaner, and this article lists the symptoms pretty well.
