Trailers
#1
Hey All,
I've been doing a lot of thinking of trailers and I am trying to find one that I can use for about anything, i.e. towing a car, ATV's, snowmobiles, misc stuff. I am trying to find one that fits this description:
Flat bed(ideally w/ removable rails), weighing around 2000 pounds, that can carry around 5000 pounds.
The local Big Tex dealer said they could have the factory build one but it would take about 8 weeks and at about $3000 bucks seems a bit steep?
Has anyone come across any websites or companies that may carry said trailer?
I would really like to do an enclosed trailer but they weight too much for my current truck when I carry a 5000 pound car.
Thanks for any help,
Todd.

Call Jerry James in Sikeston Mo. He builds trailers of all types and sizes. He has dealers around the midwest. I don't know if he would have one in your area, but it's worth a call to find out. His would probably be a lot cheaper.

There's a ton of trailers that come out of Sikeston MO. Most of them are very cheap and built that way. But I would think you could find a whole variety of car hauler twin axle flatbeds in stock around at $1500 on up, they're all over the place up here.

A friend of mine bought a car hauler trailer from a preacher in Palestine, TX who takes trailers and rebuilds them. This trailer is in great shape! My friend got it for $750 and hauls 4 quads on it. You may want to check around for someone like that in your area.
