I was supposed to go with dopeyferree in January but it was just too cold for me. I don't feel comfortable posting his email address but if you just do a search on posts with dopeyferree as the author you will find his email address in some of his messages. I know that he has been there and will be able to tell you details if you send him an email. The Richmond ATV club is supposed to make a trip there the weekend after the RIR race.

The cove is actually about 7 miles west of Winchester. It is a fun place to ride. They charge $20/day. Parking is included in the fee. There is a big field that everybody parks in. You need to call ahead, especially during the summer months to make sure they are open. They sometimes close due to special events. There are a lot of ATV and jeep trails. Some rock, mud, and hills. If you have ever been to Taskers Gap in the GWNF, it is very similar, just not as rocky. It is definatley one of the better places around Northern VA to ride. Hope this helps.

i went to the cove a month ago. out of all the places that you pay to get in the cove was the worst for me. my friends and i will not be going back soon. it is too rocky for us!!!!!! can't realy open it up much. we are very happy with tower city pa, greenridge md{yes it is boring after the second or third time} hatfeild mc coy etc. but you should go and see for yourself, it is another place to ride legally, and you might like it . our group will ride there once a year for a change
