Default Rancher AT performance at 11,000 feet?

I'm getting closer to buyig an ATV for my daughter and am considering the AT....but I also need to use it on my annual elk hunt in COlorado. I asked the salesmen abouthow the AT would perform at high altitude and he started talking about the Foreman ES. He implied that I would not be happy with it at high altitude.

Anybody out there take their's up hgih? We camp near Leadville right at timberline.

Thanks,

Slim

A lot of salesman don't even ride! This is my solution to the altitude thing-- http://www.thunderproducts.com/tpi_valve.htm

You open it as you ascend, and close it as you descend. And, above 10,000', I just take the airbox lid off completely. Sorry, I have no personal experience with the AT, but my Rancher 350's and Recon do great at altitude with the TPI.

Thanks guys.... loooks like I get it jetted for 4500' - 8500 feet and take the lid off above that. It that don't work I'll do the thunder box thing.
