i read that the KFX has 4 valves... how many does the 2002 400ex's have?

2 of them Intake Valves
2 of them exhaust Valves

yup, look in your owners manual it will tell you how often you need to adjust them. I think it's after 20 hours the first time you adjust them. And then from then on like 50 or 100 hours. Look it up though.
