The 5 year old design of the 400ex is heads over heels better than the Raptor 350.

Unless you want reverse. If you want reverse then the 400EX is essentially useless isn't it?

I agree though .. the frame geometry, handling ability and power of the 400EX is heads up over the 350 Yamaha. The new Raptor is basically just plastics with a few differences made along the way. The frame is essentially the same, if not identical.

And the 400EX is a whole lot cheaper right now too.

Around here the one thing you can count on for sure is that Honda will be more expensive than Yamaha. The 300EX, for instance, is about $500 more than the Warrior.

Not here in CA. When I bought my 400EX last month, I was also looking at the Raptor 350, but they cost around $500 more so I said forget that - not for a smaller quad. I heard it was because Honda came out with the 450 so the price dropped siginificantly on the 400 since everyone wants the 450 now. It was perfect timing for me.

its simple if you want reverse go with rap 350 if it don't matter,go with 400ex,i would probably have one if it had reverse.I have to have reverse all i do is trail ride and i'm to lazy to get off and pull the damn thing around all the time.
