400ex its faster more power, wheelies forever, the warrior engine has been used too much, lets see, warrior, wolverine, big bear 350, bruin, and now this raptor 350, its not a very high tech engine either..
i would definately go with the 400ex without a doubt

Are the features the same between the 2 bilkes.
Are they priced the same?
If Yamaha keeps using the same engine in many bikes it just means the engine is proven to be pretty solid.
Just like the 400 EX motor is very proven.
The 400 EX maybe the better choice as far as power is concerned.

 

if the raptor is a reworked warrior the 400 for sure, my brother has a warrior and the honda rips that thing

 

It's tough to beat a 400ex as a good all-around bike.

 

i would say the 400ex is better but the z/dvx/kfx 400 is better than the ex in my opinion because it has reverse

yea stick with the 400ex, the i dont know what yamaha was thinking when they made that, its the same thing as a worrier and its gonna cause competition between the 2 which isn't good

 

well ummmmmmmmmm why wont honda put a reverse on the 400ex? i know its a dirtbike engine but they could still put 1 on there and i definetely would consider getting it.

 

If honda added a reverse, it would be SO popular, almost everyone would get a 400ex if they had reverse, that is probably the only reason people dont get them is cause of reverse. 400 ex's are popular now and would be like 10x more popular if they had it
