All I know is it goes over 60 in first gear (indicated). My F4's probably geared different from your 6R. Also DunePilot, are you a member of sportbikeworld.com??
That's why we probably won't race....nowhere to do it safely.
As far as weight goes, I'm 190 and he's 180 or so. Also the F4 is around 377 lbs.
For the record, I don't think a banshee could beat my F4...it's top speed (F4) in first is the banshees in sixth (or so).

Padzz all sport bike speedometers are off 4-5 mph at 60. I'm not a member of sportbikeworld yet but I will be taking a look at it as soon as I'm done typing this post. Weight wouldn't matter when it comes to the sport bike. I can still whoop all over a new Mustang Cobra when I have my girlfriend on the back. The only place a Banshee will lead is when your feet first come off the ground and are slipping the clutch. Once you get past the 30 foot mark there won't be anything infront of you but air.

you would be suprised to see how many banshees beat up to 900 cc street bikes out here at the local drag strip. there are 2 guys who have drag pipes and heavily ported intakes, and thats all they have done to the banshee. They run mid 7 second passes in the 8th mile, and the ninjas and cbr's that they are beating are running low 8's

Al that's a case of rider skill. Any new model 900+ cc bike will do the 1/4 mile under 10 seconds. Now your saying they do 8 seconds in the 8th mile. So they are accellerating slower than my pickup truck in the quarter? 16 seconds in the quarter is like road king harley times. I'll have to drag my bike next races. I really want to know my times.

Saw in a recent magazine where they have 300+ hp quads. I think don't think those CBR's were getting that good of a take off...they should be able to do the next 1/8 in 2 or 3 seconds then, right?? Again, sorry to beat a dead horse..I guess my friend was talking out his trying to set me off or somethin'.

if you do the 8th mile in 8 seconds how do you come up with 16 seconds in the quarter mile. if you think that you just double your 8th mile times to get your 1/4 mile times you are way off. and not many street bikes at all run the 1/4 in 10 seconds, there is only about 4 or 5 of them that can do that.

the fastest drag car in the world would maybee do the 8th in 2-3 seconds and were talking 8,000 horespower any 900 cc with a great rider will be low 8 high 7's and the 1/4 will be about 12.10 if lucky

Al there most sport bikes run under 11 in the quarter. 3 of the 4 600cc sportbikes run under 11. All the 900cc+ sport bikes run under 10. The new ZX-12R and gsxr1300r run under 9. Go pick up a street bike mag and read for yourself. Even better go watch some drags at a track.

Dune pilot...did you check out that site?? It's just like this one except for sport bikes.
Anyway yesterday I hit 65 in first gear at 13,000 rpm....redlines at 13,500. So I think when I said "around 70" in my first post that was pretty accurate. Again, that's speedo indicated and I know they're off a bit.
Dunepilot....do you like riding your bike or your quad better?? Personnaly w/ the right trails I'd have to say the quard...never been to the track though p)

ive been a subscriber to sport bike mag for 4 years , ive been drag racing for 8 years and watching for 12 years. and i have had the gsxr 1300 since it came out , mine has Yoshi pies and a jet kit and the best time ive ran is 9.90 in the 1/4, stock was 10.11. I know what your going to say is ,that i dont know how to ride it but mine is one of the fastest Hyabusa,s in N.C. and some are way more modified than mine. So you should'nt belive every thing you read even motor trend and road and track are wrong sometimes. And also there is'nt one sportbike that is 900cc that runs under 10's in the 1/4 mile, that is stock
