How is the 450R in the woods?
I am seriously thinking about the new 450 for woods riding. I would like to know from serious woods riders how they handle.
I am not talking about putting or play riding...I'm talking ***** out, rock smashing, stump jumping, log jamming riding! We are all ex-harescramblers who can't seem to get out of that mentallity. We start out at a leisurely pace and before you know it, we are tapped out in the woods. I can't take the pounding my suspension gives me...but i can't get myself to slow down either!
Are they nice in the woods, or would a KFX/Z 400 be better suited?

i would say the kfx because it has reverse and i think it has more groundclearance actually that was just a guess because i know basicly nothing about the 450r specs and it has electric start but i know the yfzs are pretty good in trails but it mostly is the rider

as long as your on some sort of trail and not trying to make a new one, its awesome.....i can carve out turns much better on my machine than my freinds on there machines....a banshee, a raptor, and a yfz. the front end i think could be a bit wider, but i havent rolled it on a corner yet, though the inside front wheel lifts off the ground under hard cornering. it really sucks for trying to blaze a trail, even with the new sprocket. as for durability, i havent had too much break yet....aside from a heel guard.....the factory plastic skidplate hasnt even fallen off yet.......put the 13t sprocket on, get the hrc kit ,and some real tires, and youll be goin as fast as you would want to through the woods.
