EX Clutch Question
#1
I just bought a 2001 300EX for my son. I've driven it some today; it's a ton of fun to ride, I might even be tempted to leave the P650 home once in a while, lol.
The only problem I've found is when it's cold, it wants to creep when in gear with the clutch pulled in. Once you touch the brakes and force it to stop, it's back to normal and doesn't try to creep. Once it's warmed up for a couple of minutes the problem goes away. The clutch cable is adjusted properly. Is this the nature of the breed? If not, would an oil change help, and also, what's everyone using for oil in the 300? Thanks.

300EX did the same thing. But, 400EX has never done it. As for oil, I run Honda HP4, without moly (Petrolium/Synth blend).

Thanks for all the replies, guys. The oil is filthy so I need to change the filter and oil anyway. The 300 is a great little machine. Got a good buy; the machine is a 2001 in very good shape and came with the stock pipe and a DG pipe - $1850 US greenbacks.
