Default Wheel Spacers?

Even though I know this is not what they were intended for, if you put wheel spacers on a utility, would that improve it's sliding abilities? I figured anything that makes it more stable.

Wheel spacers to me, don't make anything more stable.....I just don't see how people get by with having that much weight/force on the studs.....I guess they are a cheap way of making it wider, so you could try it.....I wouldn't though

Get a set of offset itp c series wheels. They will widen the machine and improve stability. If you want to slide get more power or get a better tire.

I can't figure out why manufacturers make the utes so skinny. Moose makes 1" wheel spacers. I don't think 1" is that heavy or going to put that much strain on anything.

On the Ranchers I run ITP Holeshot ATR's on ITP Magunum rums. The bikes are something like 4" wider, and it is REALLY nice!

Get a better tire? I can slide it with these, believe me, but it just takes a bit more body english.

you can do that but you are going to have to put your vavle stem on the other side. This means drilling a hole in the other side of the rim and filling the otherside with some type of plug or something.

I would not buy wheel spacers. If you are just going to do light trail riding i can see myself getting them. But since I jump and ride aggressively I don't even consider it. They put more stress on axels.

Wheel spacers will hold up. I have them on mine, not cause I'm cheap just because I can't by a wider axel for the 250 yet. I jump A LOT and havn't had a problem. Just for example though. I had a 3/4 ton chevy truck with 38s and put 1.5" wheel spacers on the rear to even it up with the front and they held up great, even with all the muddin and pullin trailers and everything. I'm pretty sure there was a lot more stress on that truck than on an ATV. I'm telling you dude, get the spacers. Also if you decide to flip your rims, DON'T go drilling holes in your rims. All you have to do is buy some flush valve stems from JC Whitney for like $15 and just replace your old ones with those. I did that for my front and it works great.

my cus has an 01' warrior with wheel spacers on it and it makes it more difficult to drive. it is also hard on the tie rods. when i say more difficult to drive i mean it just takes a bit more work to steer, and it may wear ya out faster. nathan.
