Default 400ex or Predator?

Ok Ive have kinda been thinking and I have narrowed it down to these two. Im about 5'11' 155lbs. Ive ridding quads a lot and yeah i got experiance in all types of riding except MX. So i plan on doing some XC and just to have some fun jumping and stuff not really gonna abuse it to much. What are some good mods for the Pred? Just can i get some general info??

if you're buying new, without a doubt get the pred but if you're buyin used, get the 400ex.

His "point" is pretty dull, he has no valid thoughts or input, and his yellow rice car looks like a banana wind up toy. (just my opinion)

Both the 400ex or predators are great machines.......sit on both, try and ride both, and see what fits your riding style and terrain. Can't go wrong with either. Several year old used 400ex's can be bought for quite a good price, but yeah all in all, the predator is the superior machine in speed and handling (depending on rider skill and terrain)

Its the ignorant closed mind that can't see or make fair comparisons.

And its not that I own 2 troy lee predators, so I'm not biased, as they're the best all-around quads I've owned after 4 built yamaha ATV's, and yeah, I've owned a honda quad too.

that was only like the first year they were out that that happend and it was with 4th gear or third. it only happened to a few people though. ya i sat on a few of them and i thought the seat position was retarted. if i sit in the dip then my knees hit the frot fenders and it feels like pegs are behind me. and if i sit back farther i am like hunched over reaching for the bars. its retarted.and im only 5'10

just because it is a polaris quad dosnt mean it sux and will break.the suspension is fox and the engine/tranny is made by Fuji not polaris.my brother inlaw has an 04.the posisition is kinda wierd but you get used to it.they are great quads.very fun.so are the 400ex's.ride both and ull know which one to buy.

Ahhh a thread I can contribe to. I have both quads and each has there own qualities I like.

The Pred is much quicker and the suspension and handling is great, but the seating position sucks. I always find myself riding up on the tank and when riding hard you have to lift your foot off of the peg to use the back brake.

The 400ex handles just as well and the riding position is superb, its just alittle short on guts!
With a big bore kit, which I just put in my 400ex, it may be my bike of choice.
