I just recently built a 416EX, 11:1 piston, Stage One Hot Cams, I polished and Ported the Head and it ran the 1/8th ET @ 68 mph. He was beating Piped and Jetted Raptors and some Banshees.

Now this is with the stock head pipe with a aftermarket slip on only, stock carb, 48 pilot, 165 main. There is still a lot to gain with other tuning methods.

If I were you just go with the 416 set up.

My Pal is Considering a 440 kit,Cam, Porting, etc. He is hesitating right now, weighing in the fact that more HEAT is generated and out here in Sunny So Cal, overheating can be a problem. Not to discourage You, but to see all angles.

If I am not mistaken it is a 2mm over stock bore. I really can't remember but I think. Any way find a good machine shop that will do the over bore and thats it, no sleeve has to be installed.
