Default Cylinder Rebored

Hey all !

I've just received the cylinder of my Foreman ..
They rebored it to .5 ...

Now I wonder if it will make any difference in power ...
They say it will have more torque and it will be sensible .. But I don't think it will make a difference, I just think it
will Heat more . . .

Anyone with a Rebore can tell me good and bad news!?

Default Cylinder Rebored

I am assuming you had it rebored for a reason such as wear or seized piston or something like that. It should run better than it did before the rebore. More like a new engine. you will have to break it in like a new engine. As for more power etc Since it is running like new it will feel like more power than before. I doubt just a rebore will make a significant increase over a standard bore. Let us know how it runs.

The .5mm overbore on the 450 gained you about 5cc's - hope you weren't looking for more?

Honestly you won't notice the "power" difference vs. a standard bore, other than it should feel "new" again.

Not knowing how far you are going with the top end rebuild - but I would suggest taking a look at the condition of the intake valve (sharp edge on the sealing face is not good) and also think hard about replacing the valve stem seals while it is apart.
