Default My Foreman is faster up hills?

The fastest I've driven my Foreman is 52 mph.

Few weeks ago I was driving up to my neighbors. There is a gradual up hill grade on the way to his house and down on the way home. Driving up the hill I was going 51 mph and on the way back I only reached about 49 mph. (with a lot of room to spare)

I have my own theory of why this happens. I was just wondering why you think it happens?

I won't share my theory just in case I'm wrong.

My theory would be that you are on engine braking downhill .. (- Compression -)

You say that you have lot of room to spare, so I'm assuming you mean you are not at full throttle ?! ..

I was at full throttle and had a lot of room left to go faster. (a lot of space left) It just hits a point going down hill and then won't go faster.

Ok I understand now ..

Well, apart from Engine Braking ... what could it be ?! . .

Unless your hill is 3000 feet high and the carburetor has less air, I don't see it .. What is your theory ?!

Hmm . . .

I don't know at what RPM the Rev limiter is set ... Do you know !??

But I'm not sure I ever reached the Rev limiter ... I'm not sure that downhill the engine would rev faster, if you are in 5th
and the RPM is at say 4000 rpm, than uphill it would be about the same for the same speed no, or it would be slower but
RPM higher than 4000 and Downhill would be faster and RPM less or equal to 4000 .. You know what I mean!?

I would say Engine braking, because, when the engine is at it's top speed, it should have very little power in the top end,
and say that the Hill gives more power to the wheels than the engine, than the engine would be on compression and would'nt
give any power to the wheels ... and possibly braking the quad!
My theory. .. 8]

Today, I went 51 mph up the hill. I hit a new worlds record for the Foreman 450 at 53 mph. (slight down hill)

That's the first time I've seen 53 mph on my Foreman. I should compare it to a GPS.
