I think that Yamaha may have tuned the Raptor down a little from the factory. If they let that motor loose, somebody could get hurt and Yamaha would be in a ton of law suits. So I think if you tune the engine right, it will really haul. As you can see, I still have hope in the Raptor . Have a nice day fellas!

Why dont you all talk about how nice or bad the bike looks like. You are comparing a stock bike against modded two strokes and the worse part is that the bike has not been released yet. All the magazines will have differant things to say about quads. You have seen that in the past. 400EX is new king,DS is new king, now they realize that the banshee smokes 400. My point is that YOU dont know what the bike is like yet, and by the way the Cannondale only puts out 38 HP and i am being told that it will be a 02 model.

 

Read the writing on the wall. Yamaha lied to you, the Raptor will not blow everyting else away. Honda invented handling with the 250R and everybody else has been playing catch me if you can. If you don't think all that extra weight will make the machine handle worse, try adding 50 to 75 lbs to your current machine(doesn't matter what model) and go out and ride.

What are ya gonna do, sit here and wait for something to come up with the Raptor, and then say AHHHaaa, see, I told ya. Either way, the time has come to admit to yourself that its gonna be a good quad, like it or not. Ive heard a thousand complaints of a thousand parts from almost all quads. For a mag review to say they couldnt find much to complain about, along with its Awesome Ratings, in ALL catagories... it MUST be a good quad.... Why is this offending you so much ? Im serious, what is your reason. If you have no good reason, other than because you hate Yamaha, then SHUT UP ALREADY.
